Extended life battery?

Didnt even know one was coming out. How much do they usually run (price wise)?

Well, there's no official word from anyone yet, but it's typical for at least 3rd party manufacturers to make some after market extended batteries for phones, especially popular ones. They usually require a new battery cover and have a little bulge.

There are a few that pack more capacity in the same size factor. I remember buying. 1700mah battery for my G1 and the original was like 1400 or something like that. All I know is that it made a huge difference.

Yeah this is not uncommon, but there's only so far they can go with that. I'd be very surprised if they got beyond 2000mAh, and 1700 might be pushing it.

Not sure what it is that they do to cram more juice out of the same space.

As long as it has more capacity than the stock battery. It will be a matter of time. Maybe next month or so. As soon as I find one I'm grabbing it.

The new JH2 firmware update seems to increase the battery life. From what I've been reading, it seems that Samsung worked out a couple things with how much battery the screen uses. Since, I update my phone, I'm noticing 30%-50% battery life increase, and I have EVERYTHING turned on.

I'm looking forward to the update. I'm gonna wait for the OTA update though.
