Help Extending screen lock delay to hours for Froyo?

Is there a way to extend the delay of the pattern/PIN screen lock to several hours? Lock Delay does this for 2.1, but I read that it doesn't work well with Froyo.

Failing that, has anybody figured out a way yet to get rid of the slide lock but keep only the pattern screen lock?

I found an app called Extend Lock Time which seems to do the trick.
