external antenna for lg optimus v?

Does anybody know if ANY company or carrier offers an external antenna for this phone. I have looked everywhere i can think of and nothing. The port is there right under the battery so wheres the antenna? Any help would be much appricated i dont get very good coverage at my house and dont wanna pay $200+ for a booster/repeater.

No. You would need drivers and everything and virgin broke the update method in attempt to block using LGs updater and the phone is no longer being sold by virgin Mobile.

Ben, you might want to check your sources. The Optimus V is still offered on VM's website. It is currently selling for $129.99.

I dunno why VM keeps doing that. First the OpV is gone, then it comes back, then its gone, then it comes back.

I still stand by the idea that the OpV is one of the best lower entry level Androids on the market. You almost can't kill the darn thing.

I have to agree. I just bought the One V yesterday (already rooted and rommed), but still have my OV. Almost a year and half old and still going strong. I just felt I had pushed it to its limit and wanted a better phone.

Over a year on mine and I can't believe how much I use it. Incredible value!

Not gentle with it either. Been dropped a bunch!
