External Battery Charger Question

[jamez14]

I'm looking to get an external battery charger to charge my spare battery. I know Samsung makes one but I was going to be cheap and grab one for around $5 on eBay.

My question is, will the cheap external battery charger ruin my batteries?

I personally wouldn't worry about it, but I'm a cheap bastard. Can you provide a link or the proper search terms for these $5 ebay battery chargers? I haven't been able to find one. Thanks.

No it will be fine in fact the cheap ones are better IMO . Where are you finding these I've been looking for one

Actually...I don't think these will work with the LTE version.

According to this thread they are different size batteries http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...galaxy-nexus-lte-battery-fit-gsm-version.html

I believe the i9250 is the GSM version of the phone and that is what all those listings list as the compatible phone.

I found one that charges both your spare and your phone.
USB Sync Cradle Dock with Second Battery Charger For Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 | eBay

But 1A sounds kind of low for two devices. What amperage is the included charger for the nexus?

edit: nvm anything i9250 is the GSM one. i515 is what you need.

Hopefully someone develops one for us soon then.

Yeah u have to search for i515 . I've seen packages with the wall charger but its all crap in the package . Give it a couple weeks and well start to see them
