Help External SD Card not visible

Hello all,

I've just got my Note 2 having previously had a HTC Incredible S. I took my 32GB microSdcard from my HTC and put it straight in the Note 2. But the phone doesn't look like it can see it as it's seeing some other internal storage as the 'sdcard'.

How do I get this phone to see my external Sdcard so that I can restore a lot of saved settings for my apps?

Thanks

It does show up. I now realise that Samsung have a different way of doing things.

Is there any way of making my External SD Card the "primary" SD Card in stead of the built in in Internal SD Card?

I don't believe there is, not sure if it can be done if you Root the device.
Worth telling you that on the standard phone you can't move apps to the external sd card either. You can move pics, music docs etc though.
Apparently it's a Samsung thing - which I didn't know before i bought my GS3.
Same with my Note 10.1
