Help External speaker sound quality

I've noticed that the speaker quality is horrible on my phone. Don't know if anyone else feels the same way. I'm wondering if maybe mine might be defective. My OG evo sounds way louder than this one. I'm super disappointed with that one aspect of the phone. I use navigation a lot, and now I think I'll have to ride in silence just to hear the turn by turn nav.

Let me know how yours are working out so I can see if I need to get mine replaced

I used my OG with the yahoo radio app in the shower with no issues. Now I can't hear anything over the water. The ELT definitely seems quieter than the OG, although, the quality of the sound seems better.

No issues here, speaker is so loud I can actually use it to play music in the shower.

It's pretty funny that you mention that... My 3vo wasn't loud at all.. But my gf has the stratosphere and she always used it when she was in the shower... Now I can too! I definetly feel like the ltevo is louder... But that's just me... It sounds pretty good I was happy with it... I would always have to cup my hand around the back of the 3vo so others could hear videos I was playing... I haven't found myself doing this with ltevo.... It could be louder.. Yes... But I'm definetly happy with where it is

The 3D was terrible. It was just not loud enough. :D

I was surprised to read reviews about how good the audio was on this phone, because mine's not great. Not bad, just not loud. I plugged some headphones in yesterday (good Sony ones), and the max volume was not very loud.

I belive there's also a sound booster in the handicapped accessibilty options. I don't know if that works with speakerphone too.

Try other headphones - volume varies a lot by headphone impedance (an electrical spec that you can't control).

If it persists across another brand, that along with the speaker report is suggesting a lemony scent to me. Sorry.

i'll try it.

i'd rather have a lemon than a quiet phone by design. i can trade my lemon in.

When i make a call the ear speaker works fine but when i switch to speaker it does not work properly. i just recently got a replacement phone due to the screen being cracked. i don't want to do a hard reset to see if that fixes the problem, so im trying to see if anyone has any other solutions to this, thanks

You might very well have gotten another defective phone.

I would suggest a full reset ... if that doesn't work, try gettin another replacement.

Good luck.
