External Storage on DNA?

So I just got my DNA a few weeks ago and knew all the knowledge needed for this phone. No expandable MicroSD slot which was a bummer, but it's the only phone that I really like from Verizon (Mainly because the HTC One isn't for Verizon). Yesterday though I was thinking about watching movies on my phone, but with 16GB of memory only, I could only store 1 movie at a time...so I'm asking...is there anyway to get some kind of expandable memory on here that is on the go? Even a small external HDD maybe?

You can get a SD card reader that will plug into the USB port for expandable storage. You will also need a file manager like Astro to view and play the files from the external storage.

Got any links to an SD card reader that would work well? and I haven't heard of one that plugs in through micro USB. And getting Astro won't require rooting, correct?

I have 6 movies on my DNA. I wasn't going to put them on, but decided to try it and see how it works out memory wise. Back when I got my original incredible, I came across a program that let me put a dvd in my computer, remove the copywrite protection, and then recode the movie. They look great still even with the bigger screen on my DNA! The software wasn't free, but I had a 30 day free trial. I don't own alot of movies, but I'm a harry potter freak, so i wanted them on my phone. :)

Aren't the Harry Potter movies like 14GB lol. The HTC software takes up 4.5GB itself :p

at 45 years old, perhaps my eyesight is too bad to descern the difference. They do look awesome to me. Just as good as my blurays on my my tv. except at home i have to wear glasses! But even when I show other people, they comment on how crisp the picture is as well as the color. It works for me! :)

Well if I can find that adapter at Best Buy for less than $5 and a 32GB flash drive for less than $25 then I'll probably just do that. I take the train quite often, and it's 3.5 hours of that, and without movies it's gonna suck lol.

Just found out that they have Wi-Fi on this train now, but idk if it's good enough for Netflix though.
