Help Extraordinary Android Virus

THANK YOU everyone, after rooting my device using iroot then using root browser to change permission, I was able to get rid of the sturbbon malware.
Hey...I got exactly the same problem.....Can you tell me please step by step how do you removed this stupid virus from your phone?????I'll be very very thankful if you do!

Well how you root a phone depends on what phone you have.

The rest is simple enough once you've done that. Or if you don't want to root you can refresh the phone with official software, which will overwrite the ROM including the malware. Again, how you do this depends on what phone you have.

The problem with these new malware apps is that they self-root the device and install apps as SYSTEM apps, effectively becoming part of the operating system (like bloatware). A factory reset will not touch the /system partition, and is therefore ineffective at removing these things. The only remedy is to either re-flash the stock operating system or flash a custom operating system (ROM) in its place. If the stock firmware isn't available or a custom ROM hasn't been developed for a specific device, then it will mean a costly trip back to the manufacturer for a reflash. This is why we strongly urge casual Android users to stay on Google Play or the Amazon App Store, and avoid 3rd party app sites like the plague.

Hello, I am a new member, and an old timer.
I still have a Motorola phone, and when I whip
it out, I get a lot of, "oh, I remember those, I used to have one and liked it".
Well I figured it's time for an upgrage, and want a samsung.
I would like to get the s5. Reading about them says there are 41 models.
Which one would be best here in central U.S.?
Something that could talk to Samsung if things went wrong maybe?
I don't play games, tv, or none of that.
Just text, photos in e-mail, or maybe a game if it is installed already.
Can I get some suggestions here?
Thinking about using t-mobile, or cricket. US Cellular is quite high for what I seldom use.
I have this Tab S I'm using, and can get online with it if I can get wifi.
Maybe a new phone comes with wifi, not sure how that works.

And I don't know how to copy and paste from this Tab.
Thanks for any help.
Henry

Hi Henry and welcome to Android Forums!

While your post is a bit off-topic, I'll dismiss that (just for you 'cause I'm a good guy) and say that your options are nearly limitless. A gently used Samsung phone will do fine for what you need: a Galaxy S5 will be splendid. Make sure that the carrier you choose has good coverage in your area. I was a big fan of the Note series myself, but the S5 is more than capable of doing what you want to do. Swappa is a great place to find a gently used phone. Good luck and it's great to have you here :)

I got a Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite. But what is exactly this rooting?Anyway i want to delete this virus if you can tell me how..

Rooting gives you administrator access to every file on the device, including the protected system files. It's good in that you can manipulate the files any way you want: it's also risky, in that one small mistake can turn your device into an expensive paperweight.

I recommend you read, read, read starting here:

http://androidforums.com/threads/general-rooting-discussion-please-read-before-posting.898388/

And follow any instructions on malware/virus removal to the letter. Always have a backup plan! I hope this helps.

The Avast Antivirus downloaded from Google Play Store Report it this way:

"Pornclub is potentially unwanted program
(Android: Downloader - AP
[PUP])."

in Device Administrator it appears as an App by the name Pornclub.
When I untick it here then try to run the virus or factory reset it still doesn't go away.
Avast antivirus pops up uninstall dialogue box but sadly when I select "uninstall" it bring a message "uninstall unsuccessful"
When I turn the internet on this virus App auto starts downloading other things. The phone is slow even after I disable it.
Dude, the same thing is happening to me. My phone keeps downloading random apps when i turn on the data connection. But When i try to uninstall them, it say that they are system apps. Theres nothin i can do abt them. I also have that pornclub app aswell, and its what was downloading those apps. For now, i ive restrictrd its background data, so It cant download anything. Today, abt half an hour ago, it downloaded apus launcher, and its also a system app now. I mean what the ****? How is apus launcher a friggin system app?? Im gonna have to show it some where. Or please tell me what to do. Should i root It? If so how? I use a geonee m2

Does no body really read what other people here already said? If you have the same problem, root the phone and use a root explorer app or a system file uninstaller (plenty available on Play Store) and uninstall the things. You just need like 5min to do that.

Hii got the same problem like charling ton and also same system app named pornclub can anyone help me how to remove it, i'm using samsung galaxy mega 6.3 and also i am not familiar with rooting my phone

Hey. I downloaded an app and accidentally opened an ad there. So i got a viruse called Pornclub. It is installed and i just can't remove it. I tried 360 security and antiviruses but nothing. Also did factory reset but it is still there. Do you know what i can do?
I'm had the same problem after downloading a modded class of clans off google but had no problem unistalling it

Guys In My Phone I Fixed It.............
You should also Try It............

Steps:
1.Root your Phone............
2.Download Link2SD And Install it..........
3.Grant Root permissions to Link2SD.....
4.Locate The Pornclub.apk App And Select It......
5. Freeze the app.........and Uninstall It.............

It will permanently get Deleted From your Phone :)

You're Welcome By the Way ;-)

Try

Press the POWER button to show the shutdown menu, then press-and-hold the Power Off option. If this gives you an option to reboot in Safe Mode do so, then go to Settings > Apps > All(tab) > search Pornclub then Force Stop, Clear data, and Disable.

Thanks :)

@Tsunayoshi10, Hadron already answered your question. Why keep asking the same question??? I believe if you follow from beginning of this thread you'll also get the answer to your question. I had same problem you're experiencing and it was answered on this thread.

Thank you sir but im a bit confuse hmm can you tell me how to root? :)

I did what you suggested here, and it looked like the problem is over. now, 2 weeks later the problem is back, and it is worse. all the malware are back and some new ones. and it is impossible to use my phone

It has to be something you've recently installed that is, in turn, installing all this mess. Anything that wasn't installed from Google Play or Amazon App Store is suspect, as a lot of third-party app stores attach malware to the app for revenue. Please let us know if you have installed ANYTHING from a third-party app source or otherwise unknown source.
