Cool thanks are they often replaced? Wear out easily?
What is this for? I imagine silver is chip puller but what are the black pins for?
Damn it. I hope Samsung will actually start thinking about selling replacement nibs. But from the looks of it, the nibs look a little different. A little more bulk at the tip? Or is it the pic distorting it?
It doesn't look like it has a flex nib though. I like those better than the plastic nibs.
Drex, the nibs are just plastic or rubber encased in plastic. There are other types of nibs, but not for the S Pen. There's really nothing in the nibs. It would be based on the pen assembly itself.
Scandalex, the nibs are thinner and shorter than a regular Wacom nib. Unfortunately, Samsung and Wacom do not supply replacement nibs.
As for nib wear out, it's very possible. The flex nib I'm using in my S Pen with eraser is already starting to show wear. Even my Intuos5 pen's nib has wear on it. I think it's almost time to replace both. But I use them on a regular on a regular basis.
I had a Note 2 & never had issues w/ them wearing out, but then again I didn't use the S-Pen much. I can't imagine them wearing out, so not sure why Samsung included these w/ the Note 3 when they never have included them w/ any of their Note devices in the past to my knowledge.
