Root Extreme Battery Issue

Newbie
Yesterday my battery died about 30 minutes after being fully charged. I went to USC and swapped out for a brand new battery. The same thing happened. My battery used to last over a day without having to be charged. Today it's been running for 14 minutes and it used up 56% of the battery life. I'm running CM 7.0.3. I don't know what went wrong, everything was running smoothly up until the other day.

Have you looked at the stats (settings/about phone/battery I think) about which apps are using your battery?

This intense battery drain sounds wierd. If no app stands out in the statistics that you can uninstall, i would do a complete wipe and reflash the ROM.

If that will not fix it, RUU and repair I'm afraid...

As the other guy said, check battery usage, try spare parts under partial wake usage or just try install the ROM again, sounds really weird though

Is this after 14 minutes?

The Android system is very high IMO. I have it at around 3 %.

I would suggest wipe and reflash.

Try battery calibration.. i think your phone is not fully charging the battery even though it think it is so, go in recovery>advanced>wipe bat stats then use the app battery calibration.

Calibrated the battery and it seems to be running fine again. Thanks everyone for your help. Now it's off to fix the rest of the problems lol
