extreme power saving quirk?

Verizon update to 4.4.3 installed extreme power saving mode. When I enter that mode I get a pop-up screen with the header "voice recorder" and the text

"You are currently recording voice and will be unable to stop it while extreme power saving mode is on. To stop voice recording, exit extreme power savings mode."

Anyone else get such a message? I haven't reset my phone since the update so that might alleviate the condition and I certainly don't believe it is actually recording anything. Just seems a little quirky.

If I have 'OK Google detection' enabled my M7 brings up that message before going into extreme power saving mode.
