Help Eyes hurt from screen.

Hi there, I'm a new user who just got the galaxy s2 a week ago.

As soon as I purchased the phone I bought a matte screen protector.

In the beginning I didn't notice it, but now when I use the phone, my eyes hurt. For example when looking at pictures and browsing on the web.

My eyes hurt most when there's a white background on the screen. I tried various brightness levels to no success.

What should I do to remedy this? Do you think I have a faulty screen/phone?

Thank you

Your best bet will probably be to go back to where you bought it and ask if you can compare it against another one. I'm sure they won't have any problem doing that. If there is a problem with your screen they should sort it out

Couple things to try first...

Menu > Settings > Display > Brightness. Make sure that there's a green tick in the box (Automatic brightness).

Click 'Ok'

Then go to Screen mode and try 'Standard' or maybe 'Movie' modes.

I probably used the wrong term. The display quality is grainy, especially on white backgrounds, like Google's homepage.
