Help F#*k this screen

It is the cause of my horrible battery life. Everytime I check to see whars sucking the life outta the phone its the screen being responsible for no less than %75 of battery use...at times its been resposible for %90+

Post up your settings, and what apps you use to get more than 4-6 hours betwen charges.

I'm at 75% after about 7.5 hours off the plug today. My display is 58%, Wi-Fi 21%, Cell standby 14%, and Phone Idle 6%.

I turn down my brightness all the way. I turn off Bluetooth and GPS. I turn on the Location by Wireless, and also leave the Wi-Fi on. Other than that the syncing and stuff is all on default.

I've been texting all day while at school. On the train to school (40 minutes) I was surfing this forum on 3G. I'd imagine the 21% Wi-Fi is because the school Wi-Fi doesn't cover the entire campus, and it probably picked it up and dropped it a bunch of times throughout the day while in my pocket.

For widgets I have Beautiful Widgets, a Ring/Vibrate widget, Advanced Task Killer, Google Search, and the Power Setting widget.

Strange...maybe its replacement time forthis phone...my wifi is usually off gps/locations/bluetooth genrally stay off also. It is almost as if it does fine until I play a game, or have a text conversation, or browse the web(anything where the screen is on for a while)It just starts tearing away at the battery
