f6 picture resolution

Is there a way to force the F6 to take 5mp pictures? My pictures only are about 1meg or a little more. Has anyone found a great camera app? There are so many it's hard to decide.

Can't comment on the stock camera, but I've found these have done me pretty well on a number of phones:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neaststudios.procapture (very good)

You could also try the old CM Camera, FoCal: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.xplod.focal

Do you know what 5mp stands for? FIVE MEGAPIXELS. That means the resolution of the photo, when you multiply the width and height of the pixel dimension, results to about 5,000,000 pixels. Each pixel is not equivalent to 1 byte. Due to jpg compression, file size also varies. Your photos are 1MB to 1.5MB is correct.

It is what it is. A great camera app will not improve picture quality. To keep cost down, LG puts in a not so great camera. The camera is not bad, just not great.
