Help face book app broken?

I do not get face book notifications and have tried every setting. Does the app work for you?

You don't get facebook notifications on android. At least not yet anyway.

I've gotten a few facebook notifications when I've turned on my phone, but they're always for event invites or messages. I'm not sure why I get those. I've gotten the messages notification multiple times even though I don't have new messages.
