Help Facebook/Android?

Ok, so Facebook is preinstalled on HTC Desire S but I see also there is the HTC sense facebook app. The only way I seem to be able to log on the HTC sense fb is by going to google search, click on link and it takes me to fb, where I am asked to log in, no problem logging in but there has to be an easier way, rather than having to google it each time?
Also, I was trying to upload a few photos earlier, I went to share, FB HTC, upload, but each time it came up with an error. The error? well, I was asked to log into fb again, however, I didn't have much luck. I did manage to upload through the fb apps though, not the, HTC fb sense app though. Oh I should point out, I was able to upload through fb sense yesterday though.

Thanks for your reply. Just looking at my phone now settings/accounts & sync. FB for HTC sense, the icon beside it is red, when I touch it, it gives me the option if sync now, however I know if it syncs, it will add all my fb contacts to my phone, i.e. contact numbers and to be honest I don't really want my phone contact list to be full of fb contacts.
I don't see any option to sign in via settings/accounts and sync?

Yeah I know what you mean about FB contacts in phonebook, but in Contacts app, under menu, press view and uncheck facebook contacts.

This means those contacts wont show in People app phonebook.
