Root Facebook App eating my memory

Ever since I couldn't move Facebook to SD with link2sd or any other app, it has gotten bigger each update. Currently it is 16MB w/o signed in and ave about 22-26MB while signed in. I can't put a lot of stuff on the phone anymore cause this stupid thing. Can't delete it because it's how I keep in touch with my wife because my phone has no service anymore and using WiFi. Anyone have this problem and have found a way to make it much smaller or send it to SD?

You could use friendcaster. It's much smaller than the facebook app and also much better than it too.

FB app is a data hog, and its very system resource intensive. Moving it to sdcard is not the answer either, as it is a system app on most phones (unless you have updated it, then it will be stored on /data in which case you _should_ be able to move it with link2sd).
Clear your cache partition and dalvik more often, or as kage said, use friendcaster.
