Since I updated tbe fb app for android, my notifications arnt coming in when I get an inbox message. My notifications are turned on..what can I do

Since I updated tbe fb app for android, my notifications arnt coming in when I get an inbox message. My notifications are turned on..what can I do

I have this problem as well. My wife and I both have Fascinates, and her notifications come through buy mine don't. I only get notifications for Friend requests and messages, while my wife gets notifications for when people comment on her posts, like things she has posted/commented on, you know, the stuff everyone would like their notifications to do. I've looked at the settings on both phones and they are the same. Very frustrating. And from what I've been reading its a very common problem with no solution. At least I haven't found one that works yet.
