Root Facebook app necessary w/LP+?

Hey guys and gals. So I have Launcher Pro+ and I use the FB Widget on there, if I ever go to actual Facebook I just go to the website (i.e. I basically never use the app). I'm wondering if the app is even necessary in order for the feed to show up in the LP widget?

I'm really not sure myself. Try it!

(Actually, I just checked the LP site. LP is listed as an app on Facebook, so it will be able to get data from the API without the Facebook app being on the phone. I assume that clicking anything brings you to the mobile site on the browser.)

For anyone keeping track, you do not need (as Doogald suggested) the Facebook app in order for the Launcher Pro FB widget to function. Sweet! An extra 4MB free
