Help Facebook app persistent error

Nagual

Newbie
This error is whenever the app checks for new notifications. The latest version of a less-than-great app to begin with, but the error didn't coincide with the upgrade to it. It started happening afterward. Here's a screenshot:

I use the mobile site for most things because the app has so many crippled features, but there are some things I'd like to use the app for. The 604 error has been discussed on other sites but I've never seen a solution that came from the end-users' fixes. Any ideas?

Definitely an internal SQL/database error

In other words, you mean this is all their fault? Because so far there's a surprising lack of widespread uproar. It may be more than me, or just Epic users, but it's not coming up that much on searches and I assume most people here are running the latest version.

And just as suddenly, notifications are back today, although I get the definite feeling this isn't the last I'll see of it. Stupid app.

Yes, I've seen ppl complain of this before in other forums. The Android/Facebook app is some weak tea compared to other platforms. Hopefully it will get better.

And just for the record, any time you see an application that generates a message along the lines of "The WHERE clause must contain an indexable column" - this is an internal database error. I deal with them every day. It is the application's fault. Even if it was your fault somehow, you should get a better error message than a default error message from the database.
