Facebook App update avail

I was just browising the "social" section of the Market and I noticed there is an update for the official Facebook app.
 
Thank god. I'm going to update this very second. Lets hope it does something good for this damn app, because this thing SUCKS, and I hate going through the browser for access FB.

I wish you didnt have to go to the mobile site to view EVERYTHING pretty much. Thats my first concern. My blackberry had this accomplished years ago, as well as apple. Why can't android come out with something a bit more functional. I might as well just go to the mobile site if the app is just a portal there anyway
 
I'm not a fan of the Facebook apps on Android. This is one of those that I'd settle for a working app.

I just use the mobile site, and it works fine for my uses. It'd be nice to have a better app, though, but it's not a big deal.
 
at least the notifications work now. That alone is worth the update, but it's still a long ways from the iPhone version.

updates for what. Inbox messages and that's it pretty much? I want post notifications, that would be a good update

Was referring to the Notifications screen, the one that you access from the front/home screen, not the updates that it sends to you. It didn't work on the last version, at least on my phone.
 
The Facebook apps I have tried just frustrate me to no end. I have given up and just go through my browser (Opera).
