Help Facebook authentication failed

I recently bought samsung galaxy s2 off my friend. When I got the phone I did a factory data reset. When I try to log in to facebook app, it says "facebook authentication failed". When I tried to log in through the internet app, it said access denied and that the app is not suitable for under 15s and I need to verify my age. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find anywhere where I can enter my age. I tried to delete and install the facebook app again few times but it just doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions of how can I fix it?
 
Do you already have a Facebook account? When you login on a pc or laptop does it say anything about verifying your age?
 
Hello, I'm having the same problem accesing my facebook account on my Samsung Galaxy S II GT9100. But with others accounts facebook works without problems.
In others mobiles (android appl or browser) i access to my facebook, but in my mobile the message is always the same: ""facebook authentication failed".
any help?
 
i cant log in from my mobile sins few days , used to work , but dnt no wht happan keeo getting messge Facebook authentication failed, when i log in from my pc it work fine. i have alredy tryed to uninstall and downloaded new verstion still same problem, i also tryed to log in from difrent fone stil sme problem.
is there any one can solve my problem

is your mobile data enabled? if so check that you can get to other websites on your phone. www.google.com etc.

If not then you may need your phone operators network vpn settings re-installed.
 
Hi, had a similar problem and got the same "authentication failed" message. I realized my date and time settings were wrong (June instead of January) and after I changed that everything worked perfectly.
 
I have same problem with my samsung galaxy s. Last week I had no problem. but now I can't login to facebook from the app. I can login to facebook from the phone's browser. I can login from my laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app. No data issue ( still have 2GB). Only thing I haven't done is reset my phone to factory settings.

This worked for me, I've been trying to figure out what was wrong for ages. My phone seized up a couple of weeks ago and I had to take the battery out to reset it. I obviously hadn't reset the date. Worked immediately when I checked it.
 
I had the SAME problem. And did all the same things you did to fix it.. It turned out that my hanging with friends app was the problem. do you have that one installed? once i uninstalled it my facebook worked fine.
 
Guys I have the same problem in my Samsung galaxy note2 I dont know what to do even I changed the time and date to network mod but still I am having trouble
