Facebook Contacts???? HELP

ok, well i installed the facebook app and when i tried to type a text to someone, SO MANY NAMES CAME UP! My G button takes AGES to load cause of all the contacts and i NEED to fix this NOW! >.<

HOW do i take the facebook contacts off... PLEASE HELP ME D:
btw, i got the phone yesterday so im still new at it

Well that works, but it still shows up when i try to type a text. for instance, i type P into the TO: part, and all my facebook friends pop up

Then unsync facebook for christ's sake!!!!

setting>Accounts & sync>facebook for mytouch>uncheck sync contacts!!

Go to contacts, menu, view and uncheck what you want to show on your phone!!

Well i tried everything you guys said, ill just restore it to factory settings and not install facebook...I even deleted facebook and the contacts are still showing up -__-

That's cause you already snyced to facebook! Now you must manually delete those contacts or like you said you can always restore but when setting up your phone again choose no for syncing with social networks!

I know whenever I try to send a message, I remember there was 3 tabs.

One said all contacts, the second said phone contacts?

I would just click on the second tab and it wouldnt include the facebook contacts.
