Facebook & Facebook for HTC Sense

I'm a little confused as to how to differentiate between Facebook and Facebook for HTC Sense, which both can be found in Settings>Accounts & Sync.

Does anybody know the difference between the two apps? Is the Sense version purely for the Friends Stream, as there's the same situation for Twitter?

I had this same question, and I think I tracked it down to the facebook one is the actualy facebook for android application, whereas the HTC Sense one is the one integrated with the sense UI.

I have actually changed the settings on the facebook android app to not sync the contacts, as this was causing issues as both facebook apps were trying to sync

Yep!

Facebook for HTC Sense is the one that links contacts to your Facebook friends and also add Facebook to FriendStream. Facebook is just the app itself so you can technically 2 Facebook accounts running on the phone (as I do, personal account linked to contacts, DJ account in the actual app itself)
