Help Facebook for Android not Loading Notifications

First off....this USED to work both before and after I went to Froyo 2.2.

I've tried removing and reinstalling the app and a battery pull.


Facebook WILL put a notification on the top of the home screen BUT if I go to view it the app launches and it just hangs forever trying to 'load notifications'. I can never access them.

I have no idea why this suddenly stopped working but it's rather annoying. I've emailed the developer but I'm sure I won't hear anything back anytime soon.

Which ROM did you install? There's no official 2.2 actually released for the Captivate.

Are you running the latest version of the Facebook app? I have no problems getting notifications on 2.2.1

mine is 1.5.0 but I pulled it down off the market yesterday

Just a quick post to say I've got the same problem on my Desire; Facebook is up to date, I've been through clearing the data, logging out and logging back in etc.
I get the notifications appearing in the notification bar, but as the OP said, notifications do not refresh properly in the app.

Same problem. Not sure if the notification bar works for this, I never have notification syncing on. The notification page within the app cannot load though. It works over wifi, but not the cell network. I'm using android 2.1 and the newest version of Facebook. It worked before I updated the Facebook app.
Way to go.

i have the same problem notifications wont load or 3g but will on wifi

I have the same problem. I am getting annoyed with the Android team of Facebook for this.
