Help Facebook for Android vs Facebook for HTC Sense

I am having a hard time understand the difference between the 2. Can someone please correct me where I wrong.
Facebook HTC Sense allows you to use Facebook pictures as your contact pictures, lets you post stuff through friendstream.
FaceBook for Android- allow you to look at profiles, comment, post, share pics, etc...
When using Facebook buy cling the Facebook Icon, I assume it takes you to Facebook for Android app. I don't recall having a Facebook for HTC Sense to use.
Facebook for HTC sense is more of the "software" and not the actually icon, etc...

Now when I go to a contact, it asked if I want to link to another account. The majority allow me to link to Facebook or Faceboo HTC Sense? Do I need to link to both or which one should I link too.
I know I have 1 particular contact that has their picture, but when texting them their picture does not show. Any reason why?

Lastly, when I am dialing a number, it show all numbers contact list and facebook. I don't have all my facebook friends stored in my contact list but it still shows their name and number. How do i fix that. I have people that I do not talk to other then on Facebook, that I do not accidentally want to call. I woudl prefer when dialing a number it only shows people in my contacts.

In your "People" list, hit the "Menu" soft key at the bottom of the phone, select "View" and then de-select "Facebook for HTC Sense."

Facebook for HTC was not selected. Either is Facebook. I dont' want the numbers to all those people showing up in my phone book.
