Help Facebook notifications not showing?

My facebook notifications don't show up as they happen in real time. Is there any way to rix this?

I'm relatively sure this is a bug/issue with the facebook for android app. I don't believe this has anything to do with out handset specifically.

I have a been conversing with a friend on FB and she was complaining about this on the PC too. Seems to be an issue with FB in general. I noticed it on both my Fascinate and using Friendly on my iPad.
