Help Facebook notifications

I have the MT4G, and am running FB 1.5.1. My notifications were working for a while...and I think they stopped when I upgraded from 1.5.0. Am I wrong in this? I have uninstalled/reinstalled FB, I have even done a factory restore...but nothing. The only notification I get is an email or an event I am added to. What's up with that? I am suppose to get ALL notifications in my notification bar on the home screen. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know if there is a way to filter out Facebook calendar items automatically updating my calendar? I Like the contact info, contact photos, etc. But I don't want FB birthdays, etc going into my calendar - thanks SNS

I have all of the notifications checked, and the only thing I get are FB emails/chat notifications.

I don't know of a way to stop the calendar notifications. I have the same problem with my iPod touch, but that's a whole other forum.

Do the following:

Launch Calendar Press menu > more > calendars

UNCHECK Facebook

There you go!

It's the FB app's faulty programming that keeps you from getting the notification sounds. I use the app "Bloo" for notification sounds (It is wonderful at making notification sounds, but it's not so great as an FB app, so keep the real app too). It's not on the market anymore, but you should still be able to find the apk file if you do a google search for "Bloo 1.5".

Here is Bloo's Facebook page. I think I saw some people posting links to the apk file on it.
