I was just about to make an edit saying it was the same old settings (as I see nothing new in settings), but it's there. Somebody just commented on a friends post I posted on, and about 5 seconds later, i got a notification (like bloo's notification system) about the message and by clicking it, I got taken right to the notification page.

Chat is also included

yeah the push seems to work and the chat too. One step better but still need to be able to Poke people and have notifications for that

I'm not saying I don't poke my wife, just not on Facebook.

Doesn't work for me either...I just posted something to my wall on my wife's account to test it, and it didn't notify me.

Looks like this app still has a lot of room for improvement :/

I know that, I meant with the latest update, version 1.5.

Droid Incredible here, push notifications aren't working, but I get chat notifications (no sound though). Interesting...

Silly people... This is Facebook we are talking about... takes at least 3 tries to get things right.

For those that DO have push working, go to Menu > Settings > Accounts & sync > Add account. Do you see Facebook there (not "Facebook for HTC Sense) and if you do, does it have a green check mark next to it? If you tap on it, does it do anything? I don't have a green check mark there and when I tap on it nothing happens.

You can change the sound notifications in the settings on facebook app.

Push is working here. Its great i love it - the facebook site knows after I view the notification on my phone that it's not new anymore. Haven't tried chat but i dont care about that facebook chat blows.
