Help Facebook pictures disappearing

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has this problem with the android app (not the Sense one)? Basically whenever I load the app it shows most of the photo's but then certain other photo's disappear, it also happens with the preview thumbnail of a posted photo.

Really hope someone can help, I've tried a hard reset, re-installing the app and clearing caches, everything.
 
Happened to me, get the new 1.5.0 update from the Market and see if it solves things...thought it was just me but obviously a bug in the FB app
 
Yeah i have been having the same problem. The thumbnails in the news feed for example will initially load, but if I browse to a user profile or look at one of the pictures or whatever and come back then some or all of the thumbnails will disappear leaving an empty white box.

My housemate has a dell streak (running a custom 2.2 rom) and his facebook app seems fine and a bit snappier than mine.

I am wondering whether sense is doing something interesting? :/ Or the Rosie UI?

I have 1.5.0 installed from the market FYI, and so did my housemate when we were comparing...

If I find out anything I'll report back *sigh* but for now it's just annoying
 
I have the same problem, but I think it is the FB app. I think the FB app loads the pics in memory and maybe allocates a set memory, but it looks like it probably didn't have enough memory to store it and cache it.

Also 1.5 doesn't fix it lol
 
This is a problem with 1.4.3 and 1.5 on the Desire HD and the Desire Z im guessing its something to do with the new sense, if you uninstall back to the version that comes in the rom 1.3.2 then it works fine but then you are lacking all the new features. I was hoping the recent OTA update to the HD may fix this, but its hard to say if its HTC or FB issue. It works fine on other devices can confirm Desire,Galaxy S and Hero works great.

Either way, there's gonna be a lot of desire z and hd users out there, so they'll need to sort something out quite soon. Pity' cos the fb app was just starting to become the app it should have been about a year ago :)

Still think the FB app still sucks though. Even the iPhone one sucks.. Don't understand why they can't get all the features from the mobile web version to both the apps
 
I have just registered specifically to add my voice to this post! I too own a HTC Desire HD (un-rooted) and am having the problems described here - with blank thumbnails appearing.

I was excited to see the 1.5.2 update earlier today, with new features and bug fixes, however the problem still remains for us HTC users :(
 
DITTO!

I thought my phone is just being slow connecting on FB! How come the most popular social networking website has only one APP available in the market? :(
