Help Facebook status wont update

I got the samsung galaxy s3 last month installed all the new updates etc.. installed the facebook app but when i logged in it came up with "Single sign-on failed"

Anyway im not bothered about that but the problem is I cannot update my status or check in using the app?

I have to log on to the mobile web version to do so.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I had this issue not to long ago i just uninstalled it and reinstalled a couple times restarted the phone and it has worked ever since

(Didnt really think that would fix it but it did)
 
The app is pretty crap, I've now gotten into the habit of copying the text I'm about to post as it usually fails and I have to use the mobile web version
