Help Facebook sync issue

My facebook contact sync is working now. The last thing I did was change my work city in my profile to the actual city I am currently located in . Don't know if they fixed the issue or it was the last thing I changed but it's working now.
 
Hmm, can't get mine working at all. Still getting connection error. Deleted and recreated account on phone again, no change.

Scratch that. Just got it working. Had to go to My Profile, then refresh. Then backed out and refreshed My Friends and they showed up.
 
Still not fixed. Facebook contacts will not sync to People app. "Connection error". Although changing my Work location on Facebook to where I am now does allow HTC Facebook to at least log in to Facebook. I can select "My Profile" and see my Facebook info but syncing contacts is still a no go.
 
not working for me, going into menu--->settings--->accounts & sync---->add account.....wont let me select facebook, and when i select facebook for HTC sense, i get an error message....

I had this same thing happen. Then I did a factory reset, same thing. Then I restored from a Nandroid backup from last week, it found my account again but said it was uploading data back and forth. I discontinued the data transfer, re-entered my information and it said my authentication succeeded. Went to sync contacts and still got the error... rebooted the phone, went back in, disconnect/reconnect account, and FINALLY it worked!
 
Still not working for me, I deleted my Facebook several times. Anyone else have just their picture but noone else's?

That's how it was for me earlier but this afternoon I looked at my "People" widget and everything was good to go. Give it time, I think this is one of those "it'll fix itself" type of things.

Yeah, I'm really getting to the point where it's just not even worth it anymore, and/or I might be better off just replacing the phone with an X. The lack of response from either camp is sobering with regard for their complete disregard for the situation.

You're giving up on a phone because it's having some sync issues? Seems a little rash as well
 
WHOA, it started working last night! did anyone else get this?

i don't know if it was me, facebook, or htc.

htc sent this to me...
