Help Facebook Sync

No

And the recommended options here (search), will just put a name and pic in contacts... it won't pull in their phone number.

I spent some time updating my normal contacts since the app would bring them in but in some cases not allow you to add a phone number.... ugh banghead rawr.
 
I have gotten the pictures updated (been using syncmypix with CM7 on my Dinc). But with ICS the contact photo is so much bigger that the photos are blurry. I set syncmypix to High Quality, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Does friendcaster use a high quality picture?

No. even after you check the high quality pic option.

I need something that syncs bookface contacts and their phone numbers... pics are a bonus, but I lost a lot of contacts, and had to manually add them.

I guess I should manually add them anyway, lol.... but that sync feature on older samsungs and motorolas was awesome.

Willing to bet most of us have a Google+ and have about 2 friends that was actually talk to a lot on there.

I can't even get my wife to switch. Its not an issue of if its better or not, its just that facebook works so why switch...
 
Anyone having trouble with this on the Nexus? When i go to synch my facebook account, i click the facebook logo under accounts and nothing happens. I was used to having it synch the facebook pictures to my contacts on my droid x....definitely missing it now.

So I'm having a problem with FriendCaster, I synced added my Facebook account and synced all my friends many times and nothing is shown in my contact book. The only place where my friends are shown is in my 'People' app and it doesn't show their phone numbers or emails. Could someone help?

Hey guys I just picked up my brand new G-Nex today, I'm coming over from the OG Motorola Droid. I must say I absoultely LOVE the G-NEX, but the only think I'm having problems with is for some reason I can't add Facebook as an account for my phone. Every time i click add account and click on FB nothing happens it just goes back to the regular account screen where it says gmail and corporate. Has anyone had this issue? I would like to have it so all my contact icons can show up for when ppl call. If anyone knows the issue please let me know. I have also tried going from the facebook website and checked account settings their too but still nothing. Please help.

not trying to be an d-bag, but search the forum, there are like 1000 threads about this.
Facebook will not sync with the Galaxy Nexus. if you want the icons, then download Friendcaster from the Market, basically the same thing.

Hey guys
I dont know if i missed it but i cant seem to sync my facebook contacts? When i click on add account and select the facebook it just goes back to select account screen. Anyone know how to add it?
 
I have given android devices so many chances but so far have not seen the appeal of an open OS. It seems it mainly means you need to get App A in order for App B to work so that App C will finally do what it should have done in the first place :rolleyes: The concept of Android OS giving the user more freedom is great but the implementation fails. They need to focus on quality of operation rather than quantity.

Android people slam the iPhone for its closed OS but its faster and works with much less issues.

Actually, most people prefer Android because it will do things iOS can't or won't. If you think the iPhone has fewer issues try and Google "iPhone app crash".

Actually most of us accept it as last year's (maybe 2-3) technology, poor battery life, a tiny screen and you have to install App A to make App B work so that App C can almost work, but then you have to jailbreak it, and then save your hush's, and then have a developer make a website for App A to finally work. But if you change computers, you have to go through the process all over again.

We really don't mind the iphone, it's just like picking up a simon PDA and going... yup, it's greyscale, yup it's snappy, yup it appears to work for that task. To each their own!

I will add that any iphone I had has been more buggy than any android device that I have run, stock to stock.

People actually still use bookface? I'm barely using it over the new alternatives today.
