Help Facebook_Update Issues

I just registered on this forum because I cannot find help anywhere. I have the HTC Thunderbolt obviously and I received the new update for facebook. My facebook HTC sense works fine and so does the facebook chat app itself. Now, when I go into the facebook app and login, I use my correct e-mail and password as I do for the computer. It keeps on saying: "Facebook Authentication failed." Also, when I try to login using the browser on my phone, it keeps saying "I need to login" in order to do that. Since the update, facebook app is not working for me, nor is the login through the browser.

I've been searching for a few answers before I registered on here. I've tried everything I could find. Nothing improves. I also had my Thunderbolt reset. Verizon told me it's facebook that is the problem. Can anyone help me out?

Facebook is the problem, like Verizon stated. I had this problem a couple of months ago. My wife could get on hers fine but I couldn't get on mine. Unfortunately for me it was a couple of days before I could get in.
 
Shot in the dark, my sister's BlackBerry wouldn't login to the FB app...it happened to be her security settings on Facebook preventing the device from logging in.
 
I tried messing with my security settings. I did allow me to login a few times, but it wouldn't work. It keeps on saying "Facebook Authentication failed." What I use now is my HTC facebook sense and the chat app, but I would rather use the facebook app itself. It's been about 4 days now. I'm not sure what to do...
 
Did you try clearing the data in the app and logging back in? I actually like the new app. I haven't had any issues.
 
If you are not able to login even from a PC, then it is exactly what happened to me as stated before. Just not sure what you can do about it. It was several days for me as well and then it just started working again.
 
Yes. As I stated in my 1st post, I've tried everything. I've cleared my data from the app and it did work, and went back to not working. "Facebook authentication failed." I can login perfectly fine on my laptop or any other PC.
 
try uninstalling then re-installing...!

usually apps are kind of glitchy. or maybe try uninstalling the latest update and reinstall.

my bet is that u will fix it my messing with it or it will start working randomly. facebook in of itself is already glitchy. add 10mil users.... u get the idea
