Help Facepad 8GB says not enough space?

Ok I suddenly crashed on this error while I was trying to download something on my faepad. Not enough space?! I do not get it. I bought an 8GB facepad and i thought i would neverf even see this error. I kept having problems with reading stuff online and I was wondering why but as soon as i try to install an app or download something from dolphin I get an not enough space.

I looked up in my settings and i have
Device storage
Total space:7.34

Application space
Available space: 649MB
Total space: 0.92GB

User space
Available space: 5.99GB
Total space: 5.99GB

System Space
Total Space: 440MB

I am so confused. Does that mean I have 5.99 GB of stuff in my storage? I never even tried to put in there something. I have only installed a handful of programs from the net. Sigh I need to look up why it got full. Is there a good folder/file manager for me to look up what is taking so much space?

But still it said available and total space being like its completely empty. With Adaio file manager or something it sees it as an SD Card (then again it is an internal SD) Sigh.. Any ideas and it seems programs do isntall after all only files I try to download do not.

-Edit-
Something else that was weird. As soon as I insert my external SD card the internal storage "disappears. As in the tablet stops reading it as if it does not exist. Is this a Tim Roms problem?

New Device storage

Device storage
Total space:16.24

Application space
Available space: 649MB
Total space: 0.92GB

User space
Available space: 13.75GB

System Space

And my card is a 16Gb card

A few of us have encountered the "not enough space" issue from (I think) 4e onwards. Is it only certain apps that you get it for? Mine included Maildroid & Paradise Island.

Do you have Titanium Backup Pro by any chance?

Yes I have Titanium backup. Is there any solution through it? I tried to just unmount the sd card and now the programs seem to work fine.

Is it just Titanium, or Titanium Pro? I ask because a couple of us who have had this problem have the Pro version installed, maybe that's the problem.

Well it just says Titanium backup but just to be sure I am uninstalling it and will go and try again to see if it gives me again the error with my SD mounted.

Btw it still shows false side on the internal storage but aw well.

Yeap same thing happens again. Unmounting the SD card seems to fix it right away. Maybe rolling back to a previous version of Tim's rom would help my problem? Or I will just have to unmount the sd card every time I guess.

Do you have the latest market. I have had this happen twice now. The first time a reflash worked. The second time was after flashing back to a stock rom and rooting. That time updating to the latest market and going into manage applications and deleting all the google cache files fixed it. Lately I have been deleting market entirely since it is pretty easy to get apps without it.

I installed the new Market ever since it came out. Or to be more precise when someone posted about it on here (or apad.tv not sure). I deleted all cache but from a cleanup program so i am not sure.

Can can I roll back to the stock rom btw? I might even keep that if the programs I use work well on it. My main problem is not that a couple of programs go out of memory, since I found unmounting the SD fixes it. Rather that when my SD is mounted the internal memory disappears into thin air. I get the tablet crashing randomly lately too but I do not worry much about that.

Have you tried a program called Root Explorer? It lets you get at every level of the tab. MY Maylong 7" was having issues seeing the local drive when SD was plugged in, but If i went in through RE I could find mnt/sdcard with all the free space.

Cache cleaners sometimes don't dig into system cache like Market by default. If you go into settings, applications, manage applications, and press the individual app you can make sure the cache is cleared.

Thank for the tip Rabid1. Well I looked around a bit before trying to find Root Explorer and looked with Tim5a's file manager and found out that its Udisk1/2 that represents the internal SD. So I guess my problem is solved for now. I stopped using the program that was giving me the error and found a good replacement and everything is good again :)

Ok I was on another Forum and this guy was doing memory upgrades to his Facepad, wish I could find the site again:confused: any ways just wondering if anyone here had done this before? I've never opened my facepad up not really wanting to unless this is possible. Also I've downloaded task killer but my browsers run extremely slow, a ny help would be great, I know PC's I know MAC's very well but still new tho the whole Android pads and learning.

Thank you

And you want to open up your tablet because?. You want to replace your internal sd card?.

I used SD Tools to test both my internal ram and external

Internal Write 4.5 - External MicroSD Class 10 Write 6.6
Internal Read 9.9 - External MicroSD Class 10 Read 10.0

Also just for info my internal card is a Sandisk Class 4 8GB(mid: 0x000003 and Name: SU08G) and my external class 10 a Corsair 16GB.

I would not open up my tablet to replace the SD only for the write speed even if it was 10. It doesnt matter for me if it takes double time to write a movie is when I want it, i watch it with no lag. But anyway look at the comparison. Also jsut for the info I checked my Patrio class 10 on pc and it was indeed a Class 10. It was something like: read 11 write 10.
