Facetime compatibility?

This sucker is suppose to have a front facing camera..

I have been the first to say that front facing camera's are stupid for a while but, IF I get one it would be nice to have the option. My girlfriend actually has an IP4... she is the only one would I would ever be interested in talking to over video chat... so it would be cool if we could do it.

Only reason I'm even thinking of this is because although we live like 20 minutes away from eachother schedule difference can really make it feel like a lifetime.

So.. think there is any chance her and I would be able to video chat over wifi?

I am not really the biggest fan of the whole "video chatting" idea... I think it is gimmicky and I would never base my decision on a phone around video chatting. however, it would be nice to have the option if I do end up with the phone anyway..
 
Apple does their facetime there own way. There is no way to video from an IP4 to any other device the mac, itouch 4g, and ip4. So u can just hope skype comes out with an update allowing it to access the camera and you can video chat through that.

Leave it to apple to make it so that what could have been a redeeming feature to a device is out of the question.

I mean... to be honest, I am not overly concerned with video chatting to begin with.. however, it just raises the question why even bother adding it if its not going to be versitale and flexible?
 
GOOD NEWS: This will certainly work (with skype not facetime) just fine.

BAD NEWS: Android skype doesn't support video yet.

SO: Not yet, but give it a few months and they'll update the app to support video. :)
