Help Factory Reset Help

Yesterday, I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Gio phone and everything was fine until I tried to theme the phone using metamorph. Then things went screwy, but I uninstalled metamorph and things seemed to be fine. This morning though, I woke up and my phone was missing the stock messenger app was gone, as well as the top menu bar that displays the battery gauge and network connections. I couldn't send any messages or anything, so I unrooted the phone and factory reset it. But the missing messenger app was still gone and the menu bar still doesn't show up. So now my phone has a faulty(?) copy of 2.3.4. I don't know how to fix it, any help?

EDIT:There's no "Settings" icon either

Metamorph is a bit risky to modify the framework .

Factory reset is a fancy term for formatting /data and /cache .
When you root the phone ,you usually try to modify /system area of the phone .
So factory reset has no effect .
