hi i have a problem with my galaxy s2 i have the cyanogenmod and i was going to sell it and i decided to do a factory reset then when i power up the cyanogenmod logo is stuck the logo keeps moving but it stays there. What can i do?

ok..so I moved your posts and the relevant replies here to your own thread, in your device's root forum so others can help:)

As Brainz stated you can flash the rom again but you said you are unfamiliar with doing so?
Did you root and flash the device, or did someone else do it?

the thing is that i bought the phone like that the person who sold it to me said it had that, and i didnt even know what that was.

Ah, I understand.:)
I'll do my best here then;)
How did you factory reset the device? Via the operating system (in the settings etc) or from recovery?
Have you tried removing the battery for a few seconds, putting it back in, then rebooting?

well i did the factory reset via the operating system and yes i tried that with the battery but when i power up again it keeps moving the cyanogenmod logo ans stays there.

ok...I'm looking around here so lets try something.
You have the SGH-T989 model correct? (I think so as you stated you have the S2 on tmobile)

All righty:)
First think I'd like you to try, is to boot into recovery. The recovery is kind of like a separate operating system. In recovery, you can clean up things, flash roms, and flash other .zip files.
For now we are going to clean up things via recovery and hopefully it will reboot normally.
If that doesn't work, no worries. We can get another rom to flash via recovery and get your device up and running:)

So, lets do this.
Pull your battery for a few seconds, then reinsert.
Hold both volume buttons and the power button at the same time. When the phone vibrates, let go of the power button but keep holding both volume buttons. In a few seconds you should be in the recovery menu.

Let me know what recovery you have...it may say "Clockworkmod" with a version number next to it:)

Edit: oops, ninj'd by the Brainz man:D

it says CWM v5.0.2.6

ok nice! See where is says "wipe data/factory reset"?
Navigate to that to highlight it (navigate with your volume up/down buttons)
Select that option (with your power button)
After you select it, I'm not sure, but it may ask if you are sure. Select yes.

ok...now you can reboot.
If it still hangs like it did before, then we need to find the rom you were on, or another rom to at least get your phone up and running. But let's try to reboot first.
There is an option to reboot on that first screen:)

Hmm, ok no problem.
Does your device have an sd card you can remove?
If so, we need to put a rom onto it so we can flash it.
But perhaps we may be lucky and the original rom.zip is still on your sd card or internal memory. If that is the case, then we need not worry about getting a rom.

ok...do you have a way of putting a rom onto it?

I think the simplest thing to do here is flash a new rom.

I've got to step out for about an hour or so:(

If you want to flash a new rom, I would suggest this rom (and I picked it because you do not need gapps--more on that later):
[ROM 4.1.2] TweakWiz V2 :: idea time-check out post #1383 [3.25.13] - xda-developers

Download that rom and put it on your sd card, power off the phone then put the sd card back into the phone.

Then follow these instructions to flash it (post 2 in this link)
http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-t-mobile-all-things-root/627099-guide-root-rom-sgh-t989.html
Start at this sentence in that link:
First, you need to clear out your current system. Critically important before installing a new rom.

Just be sure the rom is positively on the card because once you format system (in recovery), there is no going back to reboot (no operating system to reboot into, follow? :)
