Root Factory Reset/Root

My wife's phone needs to be returned because of continuous dropped calls. I did root her phone, but that's about. Will doing a factory reset be fine or do I have to un-root before returning ?

Also, does anyone know if doing a factory reset would improve the reception? Seems VZW hasn't been able to resolve the issue.

reception seems to be a mixed bag...some of our phones (mine ) are great some arent...a new one may help. factory reset will NOT remove root

My reception is great thankfully. My wife has had over 15 dropped calls in two weeks. Its ridiculous. Thanks for your help.
