Help Factory reset will not work

Hello I'm trying to factory reset my HTC Desire S and it keeps getting stuck on the htc screen when it reboots, so when i take the battery out and turn the phone on nothing has been erased.

I've tried using the internal method and i've tried using the bootloader method and i get the same thing with both any ideas how to fix?

Run the fastboot command "fastboot getvar all" remove your imei/serial.

Don't know how; SEARCH, I have explained it before and its in many (many) a thread.

Bare in mind your phone could be dead from pulling the batter. (look into the vol up+dows and power method to reboot your phone safely)

Most likely from the info you provide I will direct you to a RUU.

If your phone isn't rooted/s-off and inder warranty you may want to look to return it.
