i have been having problems with my x rebooting on its own for no reason and i was wondering if doing a factory reset would fix the problem? also how do i recover all of my contacts if i were to do a factory reset on the phone?

google will take care of all your contacts for you( provided you sync all your contacts thru google) And you might as well try a factory reset. If you call customer service they are going to have you do it anyway. Are you running 2.1 or 2.2

You can also use back up assisant to back up contacts. You can also use app brain to restore all your downloaded apps.

yeah the back up assisstant thing is a good thought except i cant remember what my pin is lol. i would still like to know how to back up your contacts with google, i think that would be pretty helpful

This is how I backed up with Google. From the back up assistant website, I exported my contacts to a cvs file on my desktop. Then I opened gmail and imported them.

+1 That's how I did it too. Is there a way to back up all of your text messages?

not using that program, but search appbrain or androlib and you will find apps to backup sms. I think the app is actually called SMS backup.....

edit...oh hell here ya go! :D

SMS Backup+ - Android app on AppBrain

edit #2 don't forget to allow Imap in gmail and I would also create a gmail label for them so they don't get deleted when you clear you inbox
