Help Factory Reset

I never really had any major issues with my phone. The past 2 days, my messaging app, battery life, and some other apps have been running slow. I'm going to do a factory reset anyway to get rid of all the junk I dont want.

Will a Factory Reset bring me back to 2.1, and I'll have to upgrade to Froyo again?

just did the factory reset. i regret it...lol you got to redo everything ecept froyo....
even lost all the pics i had on the phone memory.
