plumpy

Newbie
well i did a factory reset to get my swipe keyboard back. now i go into android market and it looks outdated. my phone version says 2.2.1 is that the latest or can i upgrade to 2.2.2??? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

What Market version do you have? You can find it in Setting / Applications / Manage applications - find Market then and check the version. I think the last (or one of last) on Froyo vas 2.2.6 (don't know exactly, I have Gingerbread 2.3.3 and it show Market version 2.3.6). Maybe you can try this one Market 2.2.6 (in worst case Market can stop and you have to make factory reset again or try to uninstall it in Settings / Applications / Manage applications) :
Download: New Android Market Version 2.2.6 for All 2.2 Phones (Updated) - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

Froyo is 2.2, but it can be 2.2, 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 (there were more Froyo versions updated during it's lifetime). Market version doesn't matter (there are some security and function fixes in new versions, but basically the old is enough).
I don't know how the LG is updated - OTA (over the air) then it can take few days to download the new versions automatically) or over LG tool? Maybe you can try to download LG Suite and check for uptades too?

Leave your phone on a while and Market will automatically update itself to version 2.3.6 in the background. This is the latest for the Optimus M (at least in the ones my wife and I have).

As blaxican said, the latest OS version is 2.2.1.
