Help Factory reset..

I just manually updated my shift to 2.3 today...i was wondering if i were to factory reset my phone would the phone go back to 2.2???
 
Im not even 100% sure what rooted means...i did the manual update from sprint and htc...my phones to cluttered and i dont want to go through everything myself but im wondering if resetting will effect the upgrade...but im not that hot on the upgrade anyway. My phones been a little laggy and choppy since i updated to 2.3,but its nothing major..its also having a negative effect on some of my apps.. Is anyone else having problems with the update??
 
No, it will not revert you to 2.2. You can't really go back at this point. Unless you rooted before the update.

I dont know what that stuff mean either... i'm pretty much cell phone technology illiterate...i know how to use everything but i dont know alot of the stuff people talk about on here...
 
Stick around, do some reading... You will learn all you need to. There is tons of really good info and even more helpful members to learn from.
 
Thats what i like about it here...everybody i've dealt with has been very helpful and questions always get answer'd..
