factory reset?

Hi, Have just received my new samsung galaxy s2. It was brand new/sealed from ebay but it has a lot of Optus applications on it. It is not locked.
Is there anyway i can get rid of any mention of Optus? Woudl restoring to
factory default do the trick? I havent really installed anything yet so have no problems losing any data.. (havent worked out how to transfer my contact over from my iphone YET).

Thanks any advice would be great.

no.

if you want them gone, you have to root the phone or at least flash the firmware throu a program called odin (not kies)
