Root factory reset

quick question about it i have a custom recovery on my rezound and a custom rom and i was wondering if i factory reset my phone will i be able to receve verizon ota's?

found my answer in another thread although it did raise a new question
the requirements are i reflash the stock recovery and have a relatively unmodded rom

what qualifies as a relatively unmodded rom i am currently running is scotts sensless rom 4.0

check on scotts thread,and see if his rom has the updater scripts removed. most custom roms have them removed so that you can run them without fear of an accidental OTA.

if scotts rom still has the updater scripts, and is based on the current 2.01.605.11 chances are good that you will recive the OTA,just be aware that scotts rom will be gone after,as the OTA will replace your current boot and system images with new ones.

since the OTA will come with new firmware,prolly your best option would be to go back to a stock rom,and reinstall the stock recovery.

if you have a backup you can restore of your stock rom,that should be fine,then just download and "fastboot flash" the stock recovery back in place. otherwise you can download and install the "mini ruu" in post 2 of the root guide without having to go thru the hassle of relocking. it will install the stock boot,system,and recovery.
