Help Factory Reset?

I just peformed a facotry reset on my ATT AVAIL and it did absolutely NOTHING! everything that was on my phone before is still there. What did I do wrong? HELP!
 
I was having a similar issue. If you have removed the files completely from your rooted Avail's internal memory, there is nothing for your phone to restore. If worse comes to worst, you can always just use Clockword Recovery Mod to reflash the stock ROM and start over.
 
Thanks. The phone took a tank last night and is completely non-functional now. Its essentially a 129 dollar paperweight now!
 
Are you able to boot into either Clockwork Recovery Mode or FTM mode at all? I had semi-bricked my phone before, too, and was still able to recover it with the stock ROM. What happens when you try booting to recovery?
