Factory Reset

Will a factory reset void a return or warranty of the phone?

I bought the phone one week ago, it is giving me all kinds of hell. I want to see if a factory reset will correct anything?

But I also want to return the phone tomorrow for either a replacement or a different model. If I do a factory reset will they not accept it?

Nope, a factory reset alone will not void your warranty. In fact, if you are returning the phone, it is highly recommended to clear off any personal data first, and a factory reset is a great idea in those circumstances.
