Help factory reset

Hello.

I recently performed a factory reset on my phone and I mistakenly thought that my pictures were being backed up to my sd card. There are a bunch of programs that claim to be able to restore the pictures, but they require my phone to be mounted as a mass storage device, which samsung phones don't allow.

Does anyone have any advice that might help me out here? I'm not rooted and don't have the technical knowledge to root my phone. Please help!

Well I don't know of a way to recover those but maybe someone else in the forums will know of a way! Good luck! I would also look into some type of upload that way you have a backup just in case!

I backed everything else up, I just made the mistake of thinking the photos were on the sd. It was a bonehead move on my part and I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than me can bail me out.

Its an easy mistake to make I have done it as well! I now backup my photos a couple of different ways just in case one fails!
