Root Failed Downgrade to KitKat - N7 Now Has No OS

New N7 running Lollipop 5.1.1 kept locking and rebooting. Wanted to sideload KitKat 4.4.4. Everything seemed to go well but now all I have is a droid with a red triangle! I believe what happened was that everything was erased from the N7 but KitKat was not written back and now I have no OS. Further, my computer (Win 8.1 64 bit) does not now recognize the N7.

Would appreciate any help that you can give.

This is an N7-2, 2013.
